Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer #2 brings together two generations of Top Cow readers: fans of Cyberforce, going back to the 90s, and the relatively new Hunter-Killer. It also teams up writer and Hunter-Killer co-creator Mark Waid (Amazing Spider-Man, Irredeemable) with artist Kenneth Rocafort (Astonishing Tales, Madame Mirage).
The longer a comic – or comic company -- has been around, the harder it is to get the big picture and understand every facet. Who are all the characters, how do they fit with each other, and where did they first appear? Both Marvel and DC have mitigated this problem with various Who's Who's, Secret Files, Handbooks and Encyclopedias and now Top Cow laying out their history and library in an all new book entitled Top Cow Bible.READ MORE.

Where The Pitt worked best was in the contrast between it’s two protagonists, the cheeky psychic Timmy and his half brother the hulking humourless Pitt. Where the The Darkness/Pitt works is by turning Timmy into the peanut gallery and let the contrast increase between the dour Pitt and the cocky Ennis-created-and-still enthused Jackie Estrada who just can’t take this chain-laden beast seriously, even when eviscerated bodies are raining down.

"Hello – this is Francis Tsai, the artist on the new Top Cow book Tracker. I'm relatively new to comics, having come from a conceptual design and architecture background. I have however had a lifelong love of comics and horror, so I was pretty thrilled to be asked to provide the artwork for Jonathan's story."

I thought that I might be writing about reading comics on Apple’s revolutionary new tablet, a much-rumored expanded version of the iPod, by now, but their September meeting came and went with no news on that front. So I’m still reading on my iPod Touch, which has the virtues of clarity and portability and the vice of tininess.

It's been a while since we checked in with the Top Cow crew about "The Witchblade," the planned feature film based on the publisher's long-running, fan-favorite comic book series about a female police detective who fights evil with the aid of a supernatural artifact.
Paul Jenkins may have accidentally found himself working as a comic book creator, but he certainly knows how to make an accident become a successful career. The writer of lengthy runs on Vertigo’s “Hellblazer” and Marvel’s “Peter Parker: Spider-Man,” Jenkins is perhaps best known as the writer who brought Wolverine’s “Origin” to superhero fans and lit up the Marvel Knights line with Jae Lee on “Inhumans.”

Jeff Katz's career in entertainment began in earnest at the age of 9. At a dinner party in his hometown of Franklin, Mich., the young horror and comicbook buff found himself seated next to Max Shaye, the father of New Line topper Bob Shaye, the man responsible for unleashing Katz's all-time favorite villain, Freddy Krueger, into the nightmares of millions of terrified viewers. The pint-sized operator-to-be turned on the charm with his hero's dad, and within weeks, he and Bob had become pen pals. "As I soon as I got my first letter from (Shaye), I thought, 'OK, I've got my in,'" Katz recalls.

On Wednesday September 16, Ron Marz stops by Broken Frontier for a new edition of ‘Quality Time’, BF’s feature where you can get in touch with your favorite creators for a live, one-hour Q&A session.
@ronmarz So, fellow writers, how often do you get this one: "Do you have to be able to spell to be a writer?" I always say yes, it goes with the job."
I love this twist for the character as it means she’s in for more exciting and interesting things all the while retaining her well developed character. Marz made a brilliant move here and it paid off big with all this development making Dani’s character retain her greatness as well as give her a new status that I’m excited to see fleshed out.
