Of all of Top Cow's popular characters, Magdalena has always been the most interesting to me. Maybe it's just my inherent attraction to stories involving Christ, his bloodline, church conspiracy and cover-ups, etc. Regardless, the concept is strong: the female descendants of the daughter of Mary Magdalene and Christ have served as the warrior of the Catholic Church for generations, using the Spear of Destiny - the spear that pierced Christ at the Crucifixion - to battle against demons and things general unholy.
