Witchblade is a long-running series from Top Cow that features magic, demons, angels and lots of cheesecake. It has always been a fun comic to look at, preferably when the comic store owner’s back is turned. Since current writer Ron Marz signed on the quality of the writing has gone up, also. Stjepan Sejic’s art – which looks computer generated – showcases monsters, glowing women and H.R. Giger backgrounds. The War of the Witchblades storyline has been several years in the making; the next few issues mark the beginning of the title’s revamped status quo, and will thus make a fine jumping-on point for new readers.
