ComicNewsi Reviews Pilot Season: Murderer #1



Ever come up with a really good idea for a project but before you know it, it ends up shelved because you are too busy to follow through with it? Sure you have – it happens to plenty of comic book writers too. In this case, Robert Kirkman finally has the chance to showcase some really good ideas in Top Cow's Pilot Season. Pilot Season is five one-shot specials that showcase these concepts and allow viewers to vote for the idea that should become a mini-series.

One contender is titled Murderer, presented by Kirkman and Marc Silvestri and artists Nelson Blake II and Sal Regla. The story begins with an unseen narrator and a young man waking up. Readers are privy to the internal thoughts of this man, Jason, as he thinks about his grandmother, their relationship, and a look back over their life. Following him to work, we also learn that he can read minds, an ability he cannot control and one which contributes to his fluctuating self-esteem.
