Reunited, and It Feels So Super

IMAGE UNITED is akin to a Beatles reunion. This six-issue comic-book series, which will be previewed at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Wednesday, brings together six of the seven founders of Image Comics— a group of prominent illustrators who defected from Marvel in 1992 to start their own publishing company— as well as some of the most successful characters they have created or developed there. It is not your typical comic-book team-up, in which a single artist interprets several other artists’ characters. Whenever Spawn, say, or Savage Dragon appears, he is illustrated by his creator. Throw in ShadowHawk, Witchblade and Youngbloood, along with Fortress, a new character, and you have a gathering of superheroes that is also a logistical nightmare

Graze Anatomy: Sketches from Your Publisher

Why is Ripclaw so angry? Maybe he's not, perhaps he's just stoked for Fusion #1 in stores on May 13th or Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer #1 in stores in July? Yeah, that's probably it.

This is sketch #048.

Omnicomic blogs about Pilot Season

Top Cow Pilot Season on Myspace
We're rapidly approaching a scenario where just about all comics will be online. I'm not one to argue with which medium is better, print or online, but it seems that just about everything print is slowly going the way of the dinosaur. No, newspapers aren't going to be destroyed by a giant meteor (I know that's not been proven, but its the scenario with most support), rather, online publications are going to replace written publications. In that light, Top Cow has produced five new comics called Pilot Season, and have posted them on Myspace now for free reading. CLICK HERE

Ripclaw Review

"The battle between Number Nine and Ripclaw was especially nice as we skipped over the fighting to the bloody end. In the same way that the shower scene in Psycho works better by not showing the attack, so does the Number Nine fight."

Ripclaw Pilot Season #1 reviewed

Former Top Cow blogger and DC Comics writer Mandy McMurray
was kind enough to share her thoughts on our first Pilot Season offering
Ripclaw Pilot Season starts off just as his name would imply…Rippin'
his way through the Tokyo underworld as Eisner-nominated writer, Jason
Aaron (Scalped, The Other Side), brings this Top Cow bad-ass to the
new Pilot Season. The issue reads like your favorite shred-em-up video
game, with fast paced action and great art by Jorge Lucas (Iron Man,
Incredible Hulk).

Returning to his Native American spiritual roots, Ripclaw is besieged
by a spirit bent on revenge against his enemies, thrusting him into a
war with a Yakuza boss. As he wades through hoards of enforcers in
order to exact revenge for the spirit that plagues him, there is no
doubt in the readers mind that Ripclaw has what it takes for kick-ass
super-stardom!
