As part of the annual Free Comic Book Day event, Top Cow released Artifacts 0 for distribution at retailers across the country. This single issue is meant to offer background on some of the company's most recognizable characters and to ready readers for the upcoming Top Cow crossover, Artifacts.
The basic premise of Artifacts is simple enough — even if you're not an avid follower of Top Cow titles. In the Top Cow universe, there are 13 artifacts of immense power. Separate, each artifact is powerful enough to maintain a very delicate balance in the universe. If someone managed to gather them together, that person could use them to pretty much bring an end to all existence.
